In this project, I wrote a program to automate the work I was performing at the Salk Institute, It involved using OpenCV and Matlab to perform image processing to segment electron microscope images of neurons. It won the following awards.

2015:
-1st Place at Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair
-Sigma Xi Award
-2nd Place at Regional Junior Science and Humanities Symposium ($1500 Scholarship)
-One of 100 that presented slideshows at the National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium in Baltimore
-One of the 90 Global Google Science Fair Regional Finalists
-Popular Mechanics Breakthrough Award
